  Recently started contacting me out of the blue about a billing issue from over 3 years prior. No prior contact on this issue ever. Shady, to say the least. Now they want me to work to fix their oversight and mistakes. Also, only went there a few times because I was not impressed with the actual patient service either. Caveat emptor.
  
  UPDATE: The billing issue from 3 years past was based on a clearly flawed intern audit. After spending hours with insurance on the phone, they were able to determine that they did in fact pay this office and that Coastal Psych cashed the check. Then , when I tried to contact them to let them know and to resolve the issue, I had to call 5 times to get anyone to even respond to me. Meanwhile, they are threatening collection services which would damage my credit. Finally got them to acknowledge their error over the phone, but I have since called them another 4 times to them to send me a new invoice with zero balance to reflect that and they keep saying that they will, but they never due. This is such an awful place. I have now wasted no less than 10 hours of my life to try to get them to acknowledge an error that they created. Ironically, it is enough to give some people anxiety. I wouldn't send my enemy to this place. Double thumbs down!
  
  UPDATE #2: After all of this they reported me to a collection agency that may now impact my credit. All of this despite the fact that I was in immediate and constant contact with them to dispute the bill and that they have admitted fault and that I owe them nothing. I can't imagine how dysfunctional an office must be in order to be this bad at so many things. I now find myself wondering if I have to waste more time and money taking legal action against them in order to correct my credit.

  I now see why the ratings are so low here. After waiting over a month to have my child assessed, I decided to withdraw him from their care and seek help elsewhere. The psychiatrist they paired my child with was a joke. He was older, didn't really seem interested in my concerns and comments, and talked about himself most of the time. Definitely was not what I expected out of a first time visit to any psychiatrist. When I called to inform of my decision, the reception staff didn't even seem surprised that I had come to this crossroad with them. Very disappointing and unfair that my child is the one having to continue to suffer because of the lack of care here.
